Thomas Cook (India) Ltd – the largest integrated travel and travel-related financial services firm – rolled out its 5th consecutive annual roadshow in the city on Thursday explaining various features of its exciting spread of summer holiday packages.
The daylong show held at The Park Hotel evoked an encouraging response with several first time travellers making advance booking. Some got their doubts clarified on salient features of packages as well as customised tours mostly to the United States, the Europe and other destinations.
This year's annual carnival by Thomas Cook is being simultaneously organised at 160 locations spread across the country. For the first time, the roadshows this year are also being held at tier-III cities like Guntur and Bhimavaram.
Travel experts from Thomas Cook explained to the prospective travellers advantages of travelling during peak season April-December to the Europe and April to October to the United States and during the off-season. Tour operators also received queries on domestic destinations like Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Goa and Andamans.
“The response to the roadshow was very good because of our credibility and brand image. The plus point with us is we are totally transparent without any hidden cost,” a Thomas Cook official said.
