HYDERABAD: There will be a third phase of counselling for Engineering, Pharmacy, MBA and MCA courses to fill the vacant seats in the minority colleges this year.
An order issued by the government on Tuesday said that seats that remained vacant in colleges that opted for Single Window-II and Single Window-III will be filled through Single Window-I (Government Convenor). These seats would be filled after the second phase of counselling for engineering and pharmacy courses is completed. More than 3,000 seats in 16 engineering colleges, 500-odd seats in 9 pharmacy colleges and 2,500-odd seats in 33 MBA and MCA colleges are left vacant in some minority colleges even after first phase of counselling held by them. They requested the government to transfer the seats to Single Window-I since they cannot conduct separate counselling again for a few remaining seats.
