The Samaikyandhra Vidyarthi Joint Action Committee launched a novel campaign of giving flowers to Telangana-bound Krishna express passengers here on Wednesday. The students led by Samaikyandhra Vidyarthi Joint Action Committee State co-convenor Rayapati Jagadeesh decorated the engine of the Adilabad-bound train with flowers and shouted slogans in support of united Andhra Pradesh.
Then they offered flowers to passengers proceeding to Telangana in a bid to win their hearts.
“All the regions will be able to prosper only when all Telugu people remain united,” they stressed.
Referring to power cut imposed by authorities in Municipalities for four hours and in mandals for six hours in the wake of the “Sakala Janulu Samme,” the students initiated a discussion with the passengers as to what would happen to Andhra Pradesh members if the state was divided.
“Seemandhra will be starved of power and water in the event of any bifurcation,” they feared.
