In Bhainsa town, protesters tear down posters of ‘Saleem’ film

ADILABAD: Jr NTR starrer Telugu film ‘Aduhrs’ was withdrawn from cinema houses in all major towns of Adilabad district on Wednesday following a decision to this effect by exhibitors. Despite heavy police presence at the theatres, the film was not screened due to the threat issued by pro-Telangana activists against exhibiting films made by producers who were against the cause of separate Telangana.

Security provided

Amid circumspection by cinema hall managements, the film was slated for release from the morning show at 11 a.m. in Mancherial, Nirmal and Adilabad towns. In Bhainsa town, protesters tore down the posters of ‘Saleem’ film being screened in a theatre.

This film has in the lead Vishnu Vardhan, son of actor Mohan Babu. Posters of Adurs were also torn at Mancherial and Nirmal. Police took a few protesters into preventive custody.
