The Hindu Young World painting competition will be held at Andhra University Central Canteen on Sunday.

The final competition will begin at 9 a.m. between two categories – juniors (from Class IV to VII) and seniors (from Class VIII to X). Participants would be given topics on the spot to exhibit their talent.

In order to encourage young minds in the creative world, the contest is being conducted in 15 South Indian cities as part of The Hindu Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme. The winners will be given away cash awards of Rs.5,000, Rs.3,000 and Rs.2,000 in the senior category. Rs.3,000, Rs.2,000 and Rs.1,000 in the junior category. Seven participants in both the categories will also be given away consolation prizes worth Rs.500 each.

The contest is being sponsored by MIOT Hospitals, associate sponsor is Amrutanjan, Dabur, beverage partner is Fruitnik and FoodEx is the regional sponsor.
