The Hindu Young World painting contest on Sunday

The much awaited ‘ The Hindu Young World Painting Competition 2011' will be held in the State capital on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Gitanjali Devashray School, opposite Methodist Church, Secunderabad.

Students who were selected in the preliminary rounds of the painting competition, which is being held in two categories-juniors from class 4 to class 7 and seniors-class 8 to class 10, have been intimated.

These children must carry the intimation letters.

The topic for the competition will be announced at the venue. Students should bring their own colours and have to make their own travel arrangements. Participants, however, will be provided with drawing sheets.

The decision of the judges will be final and prizes will be distributed to the winners on Sunday afternoon at the venue. Apart from first, second and third prizes, there will be consolation prizes too.

Each student who has participated in the finals of the painting competition will receive a participation certificate.

The all India winner from the junior and senior categories will be adjudged from amongst the winning entries of all the 15 centres in the country were competitions are being held.

The all India sponsors for the event include Miot Hospitals (CHIME), who are the title Sponsor of the event and Amritanjan.

The regional sponsors for the event include Union Bank of India, Siri Arts, Spencers and Jersey - Creamline Dairy products.
