The finals of The Hindu Young World Painting Competition 2013 will be conducted at the Gitanjali Devashray School, S.D. Road, Secunderabad, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Renowned artists Koeli Mukherjee and Avani Kandra will be adjudicators of the event. The first three winners will get cash prizes of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively in the Senior category, and Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000 respectively in Junior category. Seven consolation prizes of Rs. 500 each will be given in both categories.

The competition, an integral part of the Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme of The Hindu , is being organised in 15 cities across South India. Students from Class IV to VII participated in the Junior category, and Class VII to Class X in the Senior Category.
