The Hindu in association with Ramesh Hospitals will organise a cycle rally on the occasion of ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on Friday.

The rally that will witness over 50 cyclists pedalling from Ramesh Hospitals on the Ring Road at about 6.30 a.m. and reaching Municipal Corporation office at 7.30 a.m. Enroute, the cyclists will touch Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Siddhartha College, Pushpa Hotel Junction, Old Bus Stand and Police Control Room.

The rally is aimed at creating awareness on the health hazards due to the use of various tobacco products.

The staff of Dr. Ramesh Hospitals, members of The Hindu publication and Active Cyclers’ Association will participate in the rally. Post rally, the Chief Medical Health Officer of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation M. Satyanarayana Raju and Chief Cardiologist of Ramesh Hospitals P. Ramesh Babu will address the gathering at the corporation office.
