HYDERABAD: The Hindu in association with Pragati Green Meadows and Resorts celebrated the Earth Day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the KBR Park in Jubilee Hills.

Speaking on the occasion, G.B.K Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Pragati Group, stressed on the need to join hands for the ‘Green Campaign' and called for creating an ecologically balanced environment.

Sunil Kumar Gupta, Member, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) advised the gathering to keep the surroundings clean.

As part of the event, Pragathi Group and The Hindu distributed about 1,000 saplings to participants and morning walkers and collected signatures as part of the Earth Day Pledge.
