The Hindu Business Line will organise a talk on the Union Budget - 2011 at VUDA Children's auditorium on Friday from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. to educate the management students and others on the implications of the budget. It is sponsored by Tata Photon Plus.
Deputy Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust G.V.L. Satya Kumar will deliver the key-note address on infrastructure and logistics, while the Pro Vice-Chancellor of GITAM University D. Harinarayana will dwell on the macro economic aspects of the budget in the backdrop of concerns on inflation, economic growth, fiscal deficit and budgetary allocations and how the Union Finance Minister had dealt with the issues.
Chief Executive Officer of Symbiosis Technologies O. Naresh Kumar will speak on IT industry and job opportunities and the budget proposals relating to the industry, the levying of MAT on special economic zones and related issues. Advocate and tax consultant V. Ravindranath will deal with customs duty, central excise duty and service tax and related issues. Mr. Chandrasekhar Veeraghatta will speak on corporate tax and income tax.
There will be a question and answer session towards the end to clear doubts of students. The students and others are invited to participate in the session.
