Minister for Minor Irrigation T.G. Venkatesh has promised a ring road for Kurnool city to provide better connectivity.

He said a comprehensive plan was being drawn up to prevent sewage from flowing into the Tungabhadra river, which was the main source of drinking water for the city.

He said there was no proper sewage management plan in the city which had a population of 6 lakh. MLC M. Sudhakar Babu, Commissioner V.V.S. Murthy, former Mayor Bangi Anantaiah and others were present.
