Miscreants broke into a temple at Meher Nagar and decamped with jewellery worth Rs. 10 lakh in the early hours of Saturday.
According to the police, the miscreants broke open the doors of the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple during power cut and made away with the entire jewellery adorned on the presiding deities. The priests had adorned the jewels only on Friday and noticed the theft when they came to perform ‘Suprabhata Seva’ on Saturday. Police are investigating.
