City records sporadic showers

Day temperatures in the city are slowly but steadily on the rise, even as extensive cloud cover brought sporadic showers to parts of the city on Friday. Cloudy conditions also helped lower the maximum temperature on Friday to 29 degree Celsius. However, the general average day time temperature in the last three days hovered between 31 and 33 degree Celsius.

Thanks to low pressure over Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, light showers were reported in Tarnaka, Mallapur, Uppal, Nagole, Mahendra Hills and other areas in Hyderabad in the wee hours of Friday.

The MET office has also predicted light to moderate showers in the city on Saturday.

Even minimum temperatures have not shown any signs of drop, remaining stable between 19 and 21 degree Celsius.

From Wednesday, maximum temperatures have begun rising from 30 degree Celsius to 33 degree Celsius.

MET officials say the cold wave conditions, which were prevalent in January, have receded from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. Temperatures will continue to rise in the coming days.
