The day temperature has risen to 44 degree Celsius in Adilabad district since the last three days indicating the onset of a heatwave, though belatedly. The maximum day temperature had unusually stayed below 40 degree Celsius throughout April thanks to the recurrence of spells of unseasonal rains and gales. Generally, the first heatwave of the season occurs in mid April every year and later the atmosphere is cooled by a shower or two towards the month end. This time nevertheless, it is the other way round.
