Come Sunday, there will virtually be a clash among titans, at least between those in tinseltown. The Crescent Cricket Cup (CCC-2012) T-10 match will take place at the Lal Bahadur Stadium on December 23 here.
The match will have a Bollywood team led by Suneil Shetty, while the cricketing warriors of Telugu tinseltown will most likely be led by Victory Venkatesh, said CCC-2012 Chairman, K.Md.S. Shafi, at a press conference here on Tuesday. The Crescent Cricket Cup-2012 was also unveiled on the occasion amidst the glitzy presence of stars.
Stars from Mumbai include Sonu Sood, Shreyas Talpade, Sachin Joshi, Muzzammil Ibrahim, Jackky Bhagnani, Rahul Dev, Azeem Merchant, Ameer Ali, Raja, Shavar Ali, Kabir Sadanand, Manav Gangvani, Jeetu Varma and others. The Telugu tinseltown team will have Srikanth, Tarun, Nani, ‘Allari’ Naresh, Nitin, Sarwanand, Tanish, Ajay, Adarsh, Tarakaratna and Khayyum.
Mr. Shafi said the CCC T-10 was a first in India and while last year the match was played in Anantapur, it was the first time that it was happening in Hyderabad. Most of the proceeds of the charity match would go for a social cause to help the poor and spread the message, he said.
