The Telangana University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Akbar Ali Khan was honoured by the Nishitha Degree College management on the occasion of the 63rd Republic Day at a function at the college, here on Thursday.
In his address, Prof. Khan advised the students to lay strong foundation to their life through education and imbibe noble values. He said that there was no substitute for the hard work and students should learn to work hard in the studies.
Later, he gave away the prestigious Bhoomaiah Award-2012 to the outgoing MCA student G. Shravani for her outstanding performance in studies. The student was presented Rs.10,000 in cash as part of the award. The V-C and the college Chairman C. Vinaykumar felicitated her parents. College co-ordinator C. Raju, director G.V. Ranga Rao and Principal G. Gnaneswar also spoke.
