People and employees of Telangana were ready for any kind of sacrifices for achieving statehood to the region, chairman of Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Prof. M. Kodandaram stated here on Friday.

Speaking at ‘Smriti Deeksha’ organised by Telangana Electricity Employees’ JAC at Mint Compound here in memory of about 1,000 students and youth, who had sacrificed their lives for the cause, he said they knew what and when to do if their demand was not met by the Centre. Formation of Telangana State is certain in spite of Seemandhra leaders’ continuous efforts to scuttle it, TRS legislator T. Harish Rao said. He suggested Seemandhra leaders to withdraw their plans to visit Delhi to prevent formation of Telangana and instead cooperate for it.

They could, however, get their doubts clarified on contentious issues such as sharing of river waters and others, he said.

“We will take Telangana in 2013, if the Centre accepts our demand or else we will snatch it in 2014. Nobody will have capacity to stop it then,” he said.
