An electrical technician was electrocuted at a private pharma unit at Parawada on Wednesday night.
M. Dhyaneswar (30) of Bokaro in Jharkhand was employed as a technician at the pharma unit. He sustained a shock during the course of his duty on Wednesday night. He was shifted to a corporate hospital in the city where he was declared ‘brought dead’. The body was sent for post-mortem.
Parawada police are investigating the case.
Nine youths of Paderu and surrounding areas, who had allegedly collected money and ganja from smugglers by posing as constables of the Excise and Prohibition Department and sold away ganja to other traders, were arrested by the Paderu police on Thursday.
Twenty-one kg of ganja which was being transported in an autorickshaw and Rs. 30,000 were recovered from them, Additional S.P. of Paderu A.R. Damodhar, said.
