A.P. United Teachers Federation (APUTF) district president S. Obul Reddy and secretary B. Lakshmiraja on Saturday called upon teachers to boycott the Navodaya entrance test on February 10 expressing solidarity with the striking staff of Navodaya institutions.
They criticised the Union Human Resource Development Minister M.M. Pallam Raju for not responding to the indefinite strike launched by the Navodaya institution staff since February 6 demanding pension, appointment of non-teaching staff, seniority list and promotions.
The APTF members urged the Central Minister to hold negotiations with the union leaders and strive to end the strike.
