Hundreds of members of the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation staged a demonstration here on Wednesday to press their 22-point charter of demands, including clearance of 11 months salary arrears for teachers of aided school Sri Vivekananda Vidya Vihar.
The teachers led by its State general secretary Panduranga Varaprasad and State vice-president pressed for suspension of the school correspondent and stringent action against the school by the education authorities.
APTF district president S. Gurnatha Sharma and general secretary B. Raghubabu demanded immediate release of seniority list of teachers and regularisation of the services of teachers in all cadres. District Education Officer A. Rajeswara Rao was indifferent to plight of teachers, they contended.
Those who did not take part in the stir for Samaikyandhra then should not be forced to take extra classes now, said its district vice-president Janardhan Reddy.
Alleging several irregularities in the Government High School at Kondepi, they demanded an inquiry to punish the guilty.
