Senior TDP leader Lal Jan Basha on Thursday maintained that his party would put up an impressive performance in the 2014 elections to the Lok Sabha and the State Assembly.
Regional parties put together would win over 300 Lok Sabha seats as both the Congress and the BJP would get less than 100 Lok Sabha seats in the next elections, he opined at a press conference here. This was admitted by none other than senior BJP leader L.K.Advani, he claimed.
''Thanks to very good response to TDP's chief N.Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP will form the next Government in the state and play a decisive role in national politics as in the past'', he felt.
Describing the ''corrupt'' Congress party and the fledgling Y.S.R.Congress as two sides of the same coin, he said ministers, IAS officers and industrialists were going to jail one after another in the state as never before.
He claimed that the CBI's ongoing probe into the alleged ill-gotten wealth of YSR Congress chief Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy had dented the image of both the parties. People reeling under the impact of price rise and misrule by the Congress, were waiting for an opportunity to teach a lesson, he added. Later, he held a meeting with the party leaders to mobilise the party activists in a big way to visit Visakhapatnam, where the party chief would be concluding his Padayatra on April 27.
