NARSARAOPET: Former minister and TDP official representative K. Siva Prasada Rao led a novel protest on Thursday in the town against short supply of fuel and fertilizers by riding a cycle rickshaw.

Former union minister Ummareddy Venkateswarulu too took part in the demonstration.

A large number of activists from the neighbouring villages took part in the rally, which started at the party’s office and ended at the RDO’s office.

Later, addressing a public meeting, Dr. Rao demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister for what he called the inept handling of the crisis.

He alleged that large quantities of fuel had already been diverted and hoarded, which would be later sold in the black market.
