Naidu is levelling charges against YSR to divert public attention, he says
KHAMMAM: APCC(I) secretary and MLC P. Sudkahar Reddy said here on Sunday that the Telugu Desam was on the verge of another split and the criticism levelled by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu against the State government was a ploy to divert the public attention.
Addressing a news conference here he said the TDP leader had launched a tirade targeting the Chief Minister and other senior Ministers such as K. Rosaiah. But he must be very much aware of the state of affairs in his own party. Battle lines were drawn between the party leaders on the Telangana issue, he said.
Mr. Sudhakar Reddy said the Congress would take up an awareness campaign for educating the farmers about the debt relief package announced by the government. Both Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh were the major beneficiaries of the loan waiver scheme announced by the Central government.
A massive rally would be organized in the town as part of it on Monday.
All the party leaders, including Union Minister for Woman and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury, would take part in the rally. Later in the day, Mr. Sudhakar Reddy visited Gollapada village and interacted with the farmers who were busy with Kharif operations.
He enquired with them as to what extent the small and marginal farmers would be benefited by the loan waiver.
He told them that the prices of the complex fertilizer were also slashed thanks to the initiative of the Chief Minister.
