MLC Arkala Narsa Reddy is likely to be the Telugu Desam Party candidate for Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency and the party leadership is understood to have given him a hint in this regard.

In his exclusive one-on-one meeting with N. Chandrababu Naidu at the NTR Bhavan on Thursday morning the former reportedly asked him to get mentally prepared to contest the Parliamentary seat and also to submit a detailed report in two to three days on Jagityal and Korutla Assembly segments which come in this Lok Sabha constituency.

With this Mr. Narsa Reddy who has been interested in Nizamabad (Rural) segment from the beginning lost hopes on it and also on the urban segment which is his second preference.

As expected every time former Minister and sitting MLA Mandava Venkateswar Rao may be allowed to continue in his rural constituency and most likely S.A. Aleem may be the party nominee for urban segment.

The MLC who has been very loyal to the party since his joining the party, has been reportedly told that he would be the candidate from rural segment provided his political mentor Venkateswar Rao dropped the idea of contesting in the coming elections. However, he [Narsa Reddy] poured out his heart to Chandrababu Naidu saying that when he was interested to contest the Parliament he was denied the ticket and when not prepared he was asked to be in the fray.

Narsa Reddy apprised Mr. Naidu of his second preference as the former PCC president D. Srinivas would not contest this time from this constituency as he wants to shift to rural.

However, Naidu convinced Narsa Reddy to go to the Lok Saba only.

The TDP MLC who is considered an important leader in the district as he held party district president and IDCMS chairman posts had a meeting with Naidu last night also and both discussed on party position.

Armoor MLA, A. Annapoornamma is likely to be asked to choose only one seat either Armoor or Balkonda and the choice will be left to her as she is urging the party leadership to give ticket to his son, who is a cardiac surgeon at Apollo Hospitals. However, party may not give her two tickets from her family.
