Party’s bandh call evokes partial response in Karimnagar
The two TDP legislators, Ch Vijayaramana Rao and Suddala Devaiah, and three other party activists, who were arrested on the charges of causing damage to public property by attacking the office of NPDCL SE during a dharna programme, were released on bail on Friday evening.

Addressing the newsmen, TDP district president and legislator Ch Vijayaramana Rao flayed the Congress leaders for arresting them and other party workers. “The damages were minimal, but the government had purposefully arrested the legislators to suppress the agitations,” he noted. “The Congress cannot deter us by arrests or other means as we are ready to go to jail for people’s cause and we will fight to expose the true colours of the Congress party,” he said.
Daring the Congress leaders to visit the villages and inquire about the power situation, he called upon the farmers and others to chase away the Congress leaders for failing to fulfil their promise of providing seven-hour power to the farmers and quality power to domestic sector.
