Faults Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy as well
Launching no-holds-barred criticism, TDP city president Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy on Thursday wondered as to how a person booked under section 420 of the IPC in the Jagan illegal assets case, could still continue as the Home Minister of the State.
He also demanded dismissal and arrest of all the corrupt ministers of the YSR cabinet, who included present Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy. “We have signals that the Finance Minister’s name would also come up in the illegal assets case. These Ministers had a share in the booty of the State by the then YSR team and Jagan”, he added.
Addressing a press conference at the TDP office here, Mr. Srinivasulu Reddy wondered whether Ms. Sabita Indra Reddy was the boss of the police set-up in the State or that of the gangs of robbers, thieves and cheats. “A situation has arisen where the robbers are owning up the Home Minister as their leader. The Congress leaders should immediately take requisite action in the interest of the people and the State”, he demanded.
Stating that the State had slipped into a deep crisis because of the misdeeds of YSR, Mr. Reddy pointed out that a premier investigation agency like the CBI charged AP Home Minister under section 420 of the IPC but still there was no action from the Chief Minister in this connection which was indicative of the sorry state of affairs. It was unfortunate that the DGP, IGs and SPs had to salute to a person against whom the CBI framed charges, he said.
