TDP district in-charge Kothakota Dayakar Reddy is touring the district for the past few weeks to sort out the issues that were hindering the party prospects.

The party has a lone representation in the Assembly from Medak constituency being represented by party district unit president M. Hanumantha Rao, which has once enjoyed the highest trust from the voters by winning all ten Assembly segments in the district in alliance with Communist Party of India. Many of the party activities were confined only to the Medak constituency and only few at the district head quarters leaving the remaining areas completely overlooked. This saw party lose leaders and cadre at some places forcing to find new leadership.

Mr. Dayakar Reddy has been focusing on picking up of leaders as well as entrusting them with responsibilities. So far he had held constituency level meetings at four places including Sangareddy, Siddipet, Narayanakhed and Narsapur. He has been repeatedly telling at the party meetings that the TDP was committed for Telangana and it was both the Congress and the TRS using the issue to benefit politically. He has been asking them to unfold the games being played by these parties at local level to dispel the doubts about the party commitment for Telangana.

The situation has been slowly, but surely, changing in the district. The Telangana activists, who used to obstruct the programmes of the TDP, have been remaining silent and not joining issue with them. Taking this as an advantage the effort is on by the TDP.
