KARIMNAGAR: Telugu Desam Party district president L. Ramana has found fault with Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi for announcing seven hours of free power supply to the powerloom weavers when the looms actually require 24-hour power supply.

“Mr Chiranjeevi has no concern for the powerloom weavers. He has no idea about how to solve the crisis in the powerloom industry and just for the sake of political mileage he announced a Sircilla declaration, which is full of mistakes, during his Praja Ankita yatra in Karimnagar district”, he said.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said Mr Chiranjeevi had nothing new or alternative policies to convince the people of the district. He alleged that the PRP leader was making statements only for the political mileage. “If he (Chiranjeevi) was having concern for the weavers, then why he had not responded when the crisis loomed large in the powerloom industry in Sircilla town since 2001”, he questioned.

He charged that his party leaders were part-time politicians, who come into picture only during the elections and later disappear from the district. He clarified that the social justice to all sections of the society was bought with the advent of TDP by its founder N T Rama Rao and Chiranjeevi has nothing new to offer with his party.

With regard to the Yuva Garjana in Guntur on November 5, the TDP district president said that they had provided a special train from Jagtial to Guntur via Karimnagar town for the benefit of all the party leaders of the district. He also said that several other leaders would be visiting Guntur on various other modes of transport.
