VIJAYAWADA: TDP district president Ambati Brahmanaiah and general secretary Devineni Umamaheswara Rao on Tuesday directed their ire at in-charge Minister J.C. Diwakar Reddy saying that Mr. Reddy was not paying any attention to the development of the district. They demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy change the in-charge Minister in the interest of people of the district.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leaders said that Mr. Reddy had not conducted even a single meeting of the District Review Committee in the past 14 months. There was no effort to review development already in progress and outline priorities for new works for the overall progress of the district. The TDP leaders alleged that the local Congress leaders had also miserably failed to understand the problems of farmers.
