The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has challenged the Congress and YSR Congress to release a list of candidates who had won panchayat elections with their support.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mylavaram MLA and TDP district president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the TDP bagged 119 panchayats as against a total of 237 in second phase election.

The TDP was ready to make its list public. “Is the Congress and YSR Congress ready to make their candidates list public”, he questioned them.

Referring to Mulapadu incident, he said that Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal was calling Mulapadu villagers as rowdy sheets and goondas. False cases were slapped against me for visiting the Mulapadu village, he alleged, adding, the MP and Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathy should open their eyes and understand the reality that the TDP has a popular support, and the TDP would romp home in coming elections as well.

The Congress party, which failed to get deposits in many places, was playing divisive tactics.
