Gandra Nalini complains against leaders not involving her in the party activities

TDP minority cell leaders allege that town president insulted them at party office

KARIMNAGAR: Differences among the district TDP leaders had come to the fore before the byelections at party district general body meeting in Karimnagar town on Monday.

The TDP minority cell leaders have disrupted the proceedings and staged a sit-in and even boycotted the meeting in protest against the reported remarks made by TDP town president Edla Ashok against the minority cell leaders.

The TDP minority cell leaders Ameena Begum and others have alleged that Ashok had insulted them at the party office by stating that the minorities’ leaders would not get any votes in the elections and they only come to the party meetings during the elections to make some money.

Irked over this, the TDP minorities’ cell leaders led by Ameena Begum and her supporters had obstructed the speech of TDP president L. Ramana and raised slogans against the town president Ashok for making derogatory remarks against the minority cell leaders. She said that they were working hard for the strengthening of the party, but the town president had insulted them by stating that we will not get votes in the elections. At this juncture, the district president L. Ramana interfered and assured to look into the matter.

When the meeting was in progress, another TDP leader Gandra Nalini also complained against the party leaders for not involving her in the party activities. She also expressed concern over the reported insult of minorities cell leaders by the town president.
