VIJAYAWADA: The TDP candidates who contested in the Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies of Krishna district and scores of party leaders attended a review meeting chaired by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Sources said the meeting witnessed Mr. Naidu thanking the party leaders and cadres profusely for their unflinching support at a time when some leaders left the party in the middle of a crisis. He promised to stand by the cadres who threw their weight behind the party in its hour of need in the just-concluded elections. A party senior leader who attended the meeting said Mr. Naidu expressed satisfaction over the performance of the party in the district. Mr. Naidu was said to have repeatedly thanked the district leaders and activists for leaving no stone unturned to improve the winning chances of the contestants in the elections. Mr. Naidu was stated to have expressed confidence that the TDP would form the government after May 16. He assured the cadres that the party would do everything possible to provide a clean, just and able government to the people. Senior leaders Gadde Rammohan, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Nagul Meera, Katragadda Nagamalleswara Rao and Buddha Venkanna spoke.
