Senior Telugu Desam leader and Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary has brokered peace between the two warring groups in the district unit of the party and made them promise to work together for the victory of the party in the next elections.

The Telugu Desam MP summoned former minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy and former city unit president Peela Srinivas Rao and their followers and had a prolonged discussion with the both parties. The meeting which went on in the presence of party urban unit convenor Vasupalli Ganesh and district unit convenor Dadi Ratnakar and other leaders from the district.

Heated discussion continued for long inside closed rooms of the party office. Raised voices could be heard outside indicating that the peace was brokered and was not necessarily acceptable to both the groups.

Mr. Sujana Chowdary announced to the media that all was well within the party ranks and that the district unit was going to work together for the party’s success in the elections. “Just as there are differences between members of a family there were differences between the leaders in the Pendurthy segment and they have been sorted out,” he said.

The party, including Peela Srinivas, would work under the leadership of former minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, he said. Further, the suspension of Peela Srinivas was being revoked, he declared.

Former city unit president regretted the insult to Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy by the party cadre at the NTR death anniversary two months ago and said that all was well and committed himself to the party’s success in elections. A number of party leaders were also present.
