VISAKHAPATNAM: Tanishq, the largest branded jewellery retail chain, has launched the world’s smallest Bhagawad Gita in the form of a pendant.
The pendant with Bhawad Gita can be seen under a 20X microscope and can be read under a 200X microscope. All the 18 chapters of Bhagawad Gita are inscribed in the purest form of 24K gold on a one cm. square tablet which is developed into a pendant.
The gold pendant is available in six variants at the Tanishq store in Dwarakanagar in the city, according to a release.
With the launch of this pendant, Tanishq had also entered the ‘nano’ race by offering a product that is designed using nano technology, it said. Prof. Pawan Sinha from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, created this Bhagawad Gita tablet and he had patented the technology, it disclosed. Prof. Sinha, who holds the Limca Book of Records for creating the smallest Bible (one-fourth cm sq. tablet), is also the co-founder of Project Prakash, an NGO which helps in correcting congenital cataract in children, it said. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this pendant will be donated towards the project, says the release.
