Gali Janardhan Reddy and K. Mehfuz Ali Khan, the second and seventh accused in the illegal mining case against Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) respectively, were taken to Bangalore amid tight security on Thursday evening.

Chanchalguda prison authorities were directed by a CBI court at Bangalore to produce the two there on March 8 in connection with iron ore exports through Bellekere port as part of the illegal mining case against the Associated Mining Company (AMC) in Karnataka.

Meanwhile, a special court here on Thursday permitted V. Vijay Sai Reddy, the second-accused in the Jagan assets case, to go on a pilgrimage in Karnataka from March 8 to 15. The court directed Mr. Reddy to be available to CBI over phone from 9 am to 5 pm everyday, if necessary, during his tour.
