Hailing Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for boldly opposing the Congress Working Committee’s decision to bifurcate the State, four Prakasam district Congress functionaries on Tuesday asked TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu to give up ambivalence stand on the Statehood issue.

Party district OBC cell Chairman G.Veerabadrachari and party district official spokeswoman K.Kusumakumari described the Chief Minister as the champion of Samaikyandhra cause. They accused Mr Naidu of trying to hoodwink the Seemandhra people by going on ''Atmagaurava yatra'' without making the party's stand clear on the issue.

Party district women's wing President N.Narasamma and Youth Congress Ongole Assembly constituency President Banka Chiranjeevi said Mr Naidu, who was misleading the people on the Statehood issue, had no moral right to criticise the Chief Minister.
