Tahsildar in bribe row flees; attender held

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday arrested an attender working at the Tahsildar office of Yalal mandal for allegedly receiving Rs. 15,000 bribe from a person at the behest of the Tahsildar.

While the attender, B. Anjaneyulu, was caught with the tainted sum, the Tahsildar, Chinna Appala Naidu, is absconding,a press release from the ACB said.

Realtor found dead

in Hayathnagar

A 30-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hayathnagar on Wednesday. According to police, the body of the victim later identified as J. Venkat Reddy, a realtor of Uppal, was found dumped in the bushes at Deshmukh village. Preliminary enquiries revealed that Venkat Reddy was involved in the murder of Rajendra Reddy in January this year and was released on bail just five days ago.

Man held for hacking company’s email

The cyber crime police have had arrested a 32-year-old man, Gurazala Venkateswara Rao, on Monday, March 4 for allegedly downloading confidential information by hacking into a company’s official email, Additional Director General of Police (CID) in a press release on Wednesday said. Venkateswara Rao colluded with an ex-employee of the company S. Rama Krishna, who is now absconding.
