The Syndicate Bank’ regional office organised the customer meet to elicit feedback and suggestions on services provided by it.
Addressing a press conference on the occasion on Thursday, Syndicate Bank Deputy General Manager P. Raja Reddy said that the bank had announced various concessions in the interest of customers.
The jewel loans to general public were offered at lowest interest rate, and to a tune of Rs.1800 per gram.
The interest on housing loans and vehicle loans were also slashed.
Housing loans upto Rs. 75 lakh were offered at base rate of 10.25 percent with a repayment period up to 30 years. Above 75 lakh, the base rate plus 0.25 was charged, and repayment period was upto 30 years.
The bank proposed to open a branch at NTR Circle in the city shortly and a few more branches at Guntur and Rajahmundry.
It would take the total branches in the state to 100 from existing 91.
The total branches across the country would touch 3,000 by end of May.
The bank has set a target to business of Rs.4 lakh crore this year, he said.
