There is one most influential moment in our lives when we are influenced by a statement or a person and follow that for the rest of our lives, for Lord Rama it was obedience. He obeyed his father without question.

Lord Rama was told by his father to obey Brahmarishi Viswamitra and he did it without question. When Viswamitra walked through the forests Lord Rama forsake his comfortable life in the palace and followed Viswamitra without a question. The unflinching obedience of Lord Rama made him the role model for all people to follow through the yugas, spiritual personality Chaganti Koteswara Rao said addressing thousands of children, their teachers and parents who assembled at the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday morning.

Addressing students at Saraswathi Puja organised by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and the Chaganti Satsangam, Chaganti Koteswara Rao exhorted them to inculcate human values and serve parents and society.

Caste and creed were not a part of the Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism), Executive Officer of the TTD L V Subrahmanyam asserted and exhorted the students, their parents and teachers to do their duty to family and society.

Minister for Infrastructure, Investment and Ports Ganta Srinivas Rao, Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivas and a host of senior teachers and professors participated in the programme. Saraswathi Puja was conducted by vedic pundits under the guidance of Chaganti Koteswara Rao and children were blessed.

Students who participated and topped in a Gita contest conducted by the Chaganti Satsang were given away prizes on the occasion. The toppers in the college level contest were – D Koteswara Rao of AVN College, Mohammad Samnel Bhanu Shan of Chaitanya Junior College, Ch Kodanda Rao of Pydah Degree College. At the school level the winners were – S Pranathi of 8{+t}{+h}Class Gudilova, K Kanakamahalakshmi, 10{+t}{+h}Class Port High School, Ch SKR Sridevi of Narayana Techno School.

The assembled students were also given away pictures of goddess Saraswathi Devi, by Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Samiti secretary Rambabu.
