WARANGAL: Three students from the Arts College embarked on an indefinite hunger strike on the college premises protesting the tour of Congress MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy here on Monday.

All Telangana Students Union (ATSU) founder president Sripada Ramana, M. Ramu Goud and M. Pravan launched the indefinite hunger strike demanding the cancellation of Mr. Reddy's proposed tour of Warangal district. They also demanded that Mr. Reddy abstain from belittling the ongoing separate Telangana movement in the name of consoling those who died of shock after his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's death. TJAC leader P. Kodandaram, balladeer Despathi Srinivas, POW leader Sandhya, TRS leaders P. Sudarshan Reddy, D. Vinay Bhaskar and others visited the Arts College and expressed their solidarity to the agitating students.

They appealed to the people to gather in large numbers and block the tour at every village and protest his anti-Telangana stand. Meanwhile, a group of students from Osmania University arrived in Warangal to organise protest meetings and take part in blocking the tour of Mr. Reddy.
