Students of Veeramachaneni Padayya Siddhartha Public School celebrated Children’s Day in varied manner. The students from classes six to ten donated several raw materials like rice, oil, sugar, pulses, and other necessities valued at Rs.2 lakh to the needy on the occasion of Children’s Day celebrations.

The donations were given to Vijay Mary Integrated School for Blind, Madona Special Institute for Deaf and Blind, Premnikethan for Mentally Challenged and Old Age Home, Kanuru.

National Book Week celebrations began in the school on Wednesday as part of the Children’s Day celebrations. New collections were kept on display.

After donation programme, a mimicry show by artist Sylvester caught the attention of the audience, students and teachers.
