Minister for Civil Supplies D. Sridhar Babu felicitated three students from various social welfare residential schools in Karimnagar district—J. Abhilasha, J. Madhukar and Gangadhar--, who had successfully scaled the 17,000-feet high Mount Renock in the Kanchenjunga range recently.
Among the 20 students, who participated in the expedition, three students were Abilasha from Mallapur Social Residential School, Madhukar from Husnabad Hostel and Gangadhar from Koheda.
During the concluding day of the third phase of the Rachabanda held in Husnabad of Karimnagar district on Tuesday, the Minister felicitated the students and presented them mementoes.
On this occasion, he lauded the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Institutions Educational Society for conducting the expedition, providing such an exposure to the students.
Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, local legislator A. Praveen Reddy and others were also present on the occasion.
