Childline, an NGO engaged in rehabilitating streetchildren, rescued three street-children and placed them in Government Children Home for Boys and Girls, on Friday.

The children aged 12, 10 and 5 were found begging at various places in the city by volunteers of Childline on November 25. City Coordinator of Childline P. Lalitha Kumari said one of them aged 12 years was a girl child and she had been put in the home for the girls and the five-year-old boy was placed under temporary shelter at Bala Tejassu.

Director and Nodal Officer of Childline Prof. A.B.S.V. Ranga Rao said the children were addicted to all forms of intoxicating agents including the deadly eraser whiteners.
