HYDERABAD: The National Small Industries Corporation’s (NSIC) first exhibition-cum-marketing development business park will be completed here by July next year. Being built on the NSIC campus at Kushaiguda at a cost of Rs.27 crore, the five-storey building will serve the small and medium enterprises (SME) sector as a venue to display/market their products and house their offices.
Dinesh Rai, Secretary, SME Ministry, laid the foundation for the park on Tuesday.
The 150,000 sq ft building will have a conference hall and food courts besides parking space.
H. P. Kumar, NSIC chairman and managing director, directors Dilip Phukan, S. C. Goyal, S. K. Sinha and Narayanswamy were present.
Mr. Rai said the SME sector was important as it comprised maximum industries which account for 45 per cent of the country’s production.
