The equipment is given to pathology, dermatology wings

The aid is a part of VSP's corporate social responsibility

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant donated equipment worth Rs.18 lakhs to the pathology and dermatology departments of Andhra Medical College and King George Hospital.

VSP Director (personnel) Y. Manohar commissioned the intense pulse unit at the Department of Dermatology and the Olympus trinocular research microscope with multiple viewing and associated equipment at the Department of Pathology.

The equipments along with necessary accessories were provided by VSP under its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The trinocular microscope will facilitate diagnosis of further treatment especially of cancer and will also help in training the undergraduate and postgraduate students. AMC Principal in-charge K. Venkateswarlu and Superintendent of KGH G. Shanta Rao thanked VSP for providing the equipments.
