Chief Minister, Minister to meet top industry captains in the US

NALGONDA: The State Government is planning to invite more number of American IT industrialists to invest in the State, Minister for Information Technology Communications, Youth Services and Sport, Ramreddy Damodar Reddy, has said.

"During our visit to the US in the first week of May, we are going invite IT industrialists to our State," he told reporters during his maiden visit to the town after taking charge as the Minister.

The Chief Minister and the Minister are going to meet top industry captains in the US.

Mr. Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam party didn't do much for the IT sector. "Though IT is a new subject for me, I would try to bring international fame to the sector using my experience," he said adding that IT would bring considerable revenue for the State exchequer in the future.

Mr. Reddy further said that the World Military Sports Meet to be held soon would be a mega event in the State.

"About 2,000 sports persons from 124 countries are going to take part in it," he said adding that Rs.72 crores was earmarked to conduct the prestigious event.

Earlier, Congress activists accorded a rousing reception to the Minister at the DCC office.

"Irrespective of group affiliations, any Congress activist may meet me at this DCC office seeking solutions to their problems, either personal or organisational," he said.
