In the face of a strong demand for holding the Pranahita Pushkarams in Adilabad district also, the State government has agreed to fund some of the related infrastructure development.

Endowments Minister Gade Venkat Reddy, who chaired a meeting on Thursday at Hyderabad, gave his consent.

Others leaders who attended it include Ministers D. Sridhar Babu (Higher Education) and Ponnala Laxmaiah (Major Irrigation) and Peddapalli MP G. Vivekanand.

Adilabad Collector P. Venkateswarlu, TRS MLAs Kaveti Sammaiah (Sirpur), Nallala Odelu (Chennur), G. Arvind Reddy (Mancherial), former MP A. Indrakaran Reddy and former Sirpur MLA koneru Konappa also attended the meeting.


Bathing ghats, changing rooms and toilets will be constructed at Tummidi Hatti in Koutala, Arjunigutta in Kotapalli and Vemanpalli in Vemanpalli where the Pushkarams will be held.

The proposals seeking funds will be sent to the government soon.
