The Samachara Hakku Praja Aikya Vedika (SHPAV) will organise a state wide conference on Right To Information Act on the Sidhartha Academy premises in the city on June 4 and 5.

Chief Information Commissioner Jannat Hussain would be the chief guest for the programme along with freedom fighters, officials from Krishna district, voluntary organisations various districts in the State,” said SHPAV Member Jampa Krishna Kishore in a press release.

“The meeting will be attended by about 1,000 delegates. About 100 persons from each of Krishna, Khammam, Godavari, Nalgonda, Guntur and Prakasam districts along with 50 each from other districts would be selected and given opportunity to speak and participate in this programme,” he added.

“The topics to be discussed at this programme will include the appointment of 10 Information Commissioners in the State, conduct of more number of awareness programmes on the RTI Act, the duties of members of Vedika and other social issues,” Mr. Kishore explained.
