KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Endowments J. Ratnakara Rao said that the State government had allocated Rs. 500 crore for the development of various temples and provided better facilities to the pilgrims.
Participating in various programmes on the occasion of his 80th birthday celebrations which were held in a traditional manner at the Dharmapuri temple town and also in Karimnagar and Jagtial towns on Saturday, the Minister disbursed Rs. 66 lakh worth financial assistance to women SHGs under the linkage and ‘Pavala vaddi’ scheme.
Mr. Ratnakara Rao cut a huge 80 kg birthday cake at the temple town. Ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah and T. Jeevan Reddy, Government Whip and DCC president D. Sridhar Babu, ZP chairman Arepalli Mohan, Vemulawada Devasthanam chairman Adi Srinivas, Peddapalli legislator G. Mukund Reddy, former DCC president T. Santosh Kumar, Markfed chairman P.Prabhakar, KDCCB chairman K. Ravinder Rao, Collector Sandeep Kumar Sultania and others greeted Mr. Rao.
