Poll officials deployed in all polling stations
The stage is all set for the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council elections for the Karimnagar Graduates and Teachers constituencies in Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak and Nizamabad districts on Thursday.
Necessary polling personnel, including presiding officers and assistant presiding officers, polling officers have been deployed at all the polling stations.
A total of 324 presiding officers and 1,300 assistant presiding officers were deployed in all the four districts.
Besides, the Election Commission also appointed the zonal officers, route officers and micro observers for the supervision of smooth conduct of elections.
The polling material such as ballot boxes and ballot papers were dispatched to the respective polling stations on Wednesday amid heavy police security.
Polling observer C. Parthasarathi personally supervised the dispatch of polling material after inspecting the same.
In order to ensure complete transparency, the Election Commission also installed web cameras in all the polling stations to closely monitor the polling process and the movement of presiding officers, polling officers, polling agents and voters.
The Election Commission authorities also launched a special campaign to educate the electorate about how to cast their priority votes in the Council elections.
